Disability Doulas was born of friendship and partners with Moxie to bring accessible disability doula care to those new to the chronic illness and disability community that need guidance amidst questions, confusion, and newness.
We seek a well-rounded body of practitioners who specialize in all aspects of the chronic illness experience, with a wide variety of identities and experiences that make them experts and elders. We require time in the community of at least ten years, training through our program, and a time commitment of at least a year as a doula. We do not work with children or youth, or with caretakers at this time.
Disability Doulas remains committed to a trauma-informed, intersectional, anti-racist practice.
